ABOUT
Author John E Black
I am John E. Black, a storyteller called to blend faith, imagination, and heritage into stories of prophecy and destiny. My writing is inspired by my own seer’s gift, visions that whisper of futures not yet seen, and the truths that connect us all. In my series, Urim & Thummim: Seer of Africa and Keeper of Witnesses, I take readers into realms where ancient stones speak, dreams reveal hidden paths, and even the mighty seek wisdom from the humble.
Urim & Thummim: Seer of Africa Series
The Urim & Thummim: Seer of Africa series is more than fantasy, it is prophecy in motion. Rooted in African American heritage, the series follows the journey of a humble Seer chosen to reveal visions, unravel mysteries, and speak truth in the face of kings and nations.
Here, ancient stones are not relics, they are alive, whispering secrets that only the chosen can hear. Dreams become guides, battles are fought not only in flesh but in spirit, and destinies are shaped by faith.
This series is for those who crave adventure with depth, for readers who want fantasy tied to faith, culture, and truth. Many have told me it reads like a vision itself, challenging, inspiring, unforgettable

Keeper of Witnesses Series
If Urim & Thummim is about prophecy, Keeper of Witnesses is about responsibility. These stories follow those chosen to bear the weight of visions and truths that nations often ignore. They are not kings, nor warriors, but witnesses, tasked with holding the line between truth and lies, hope and despair.
These books remind us that truth must be carried, even when ignored. They echo the voices of real history, where those with vision often stand alone, but also stand strong.
Every reader who joins this journey becomes a witness, too. By sharing, reviewing, and speaking about these books, you keep the stories alive.
